More Melbourne

Our week in Melbourne flew by SO quickly... There was lots of trams, shopping, eating, and golf. We totally love it there and Geoff's now saying we're moving there! Perhaps it's because Geoff has fond memories, especially after playing in a golf comp at the Albert Park Club. He proudly came 6th out of 50 players and won his first ever golf price... Oh Glory, it was a happy night!

I'm guessing he was still on a high and felt like rewarding himself,
declaring this is the BEST EVA way of devouring your easter egg... filling it with chips!

Geoff lined up early sunday morning to score us tickets to the Tutankhamun Exhibition...

It was a collection of items found in the tomb of the Pharoah Tutankhamun from BC1300!! It was hard to wrap your head around the stuff being so old! It was all so beautifully ornate. There was no photography allowed in the exhibition but this exact replica of the Tutankhamun Mommy was outside the exhibition...

Mum and I just near my uncle's townhouse. It was so great to spend time with my amazing mum.

Celebrating our last day in Melbourne with Mum.
It was an amazing lunch - you should totally go to the Berth Restaurant at Docklands!

I forgot to mention in our last blog that the night before we left the Mornington Peninsula (to head to Melbourne) we wandered over the road to a charcoal chicken shop (I was just glad to be out of the cold and it was nice and warm in the shop). We ordered one chicken and chips meal to share and after awhile still had no dinner. Sadly, they had sold the last chicken to someone else and had totally forgotten about us. They apologised, paid for our can of soft drink, then added an extra drink for good measure. About 10 mins after that, a new batch of chickens was cooked and we were served an enormous meal! (They doubled the size). Then as we said goodbye and had a chat to them, they sent us out the door with 4 big containers full of salad, no charge. They said they were just going to have to throw them out anyway so we may as well enjoy it! Praise God, we felt so blessed by them.
